Vladimir Abramov was born 1961 in Sverdlovsk (now
Yekaterinburg), Russia. Attended the Moscow Secondary Art School
maintained by the Surikov Moscow Art Institute and the Academy of Arts of
the USSR. 1986 graduated from the Moscow Higher Industrial Arts School
(formerly the Stroganov School), Department of monumental-decorative art.
Participated in exhibitions since 1988 (international since 2002).
Member of All-Russian Artists' Union since 1993. Awarded the Scholarship
of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
His works are included in public, corporate and private collections of Russia, Europe and North America.
Specialises in mural painting, oils, watercolours, gobelins with subjects ranging from landscapes to abstract. Created more than 400 works in various media including stained-glass, wall painting (frescos), Florentine mosaics (commesso), batik for stage curtains.
